Dear Ron...Your comment regarding Ms Hamel looking "a bit ridiculous playing the girlfriend of a 40ish guy"
!st point...Would it seem as "ridiculous" if it was a male of {61} and a 40ish woman..in your eyes?
2nd point...Fifteen years or so age difference may seem a lot when you are young..and I presume from your e.mail you are a young man...but when people reach middle age this is not the case,because image does not play as important a part in people`s lives.
3rd point...What exactly do you mean when you say "Ageing gracefully?"Do you mean women?or men?or everyone?Do you mean that people over say..55..should retire to the rocking chair?
Life is for everyone to live in the way they want to and that makes them happy!

Ms. Hamel is a beautiful woman, but she looks a bit ridiculous playing the girlfriend of a 40-ish guy in Stranger in My Home. This appears to be a trend in made-for-tv movies these days -- old (in her case 61) actresses playing roles of women some 15-20 years younger than they actually are. She´s kept herself up very well, but there is something to be said for aging gracefully.
