Stories from My Childhood |
|
I read her books about her experiences in Peru. People made fun of her about that but I believed her and still do. Peru is a deeply mystical place.
Another wasted actress of her era. MacLaine had more going for her than Natalie Wood, Julie Christie, or Elizabeth Taylor. In some films, like "The Yellow Rolls Royce", she nearly steals the film. Her earlier films, like "The Apartment" and "Irma La Douce", both with Jack Lemmon, and "Some Came Running" are proof of her talent. Sadly, after a number of silly comedies, the 70s all but nearly passed her by. Since "Terms of Endearment"(83), she´s back on top again.
