great to see a new performer to me, anyway, loved `Secretary, and MonaLisa Smile, looking out for others, as they come. don`t see movies much any more, DVDs are my best bet, but keep them coming, best performer I have seen since a young Shirley MacLaine, and that really dates me. Ericw.

Not sure why you guys think that you´re having a conversation with Gyllenhaal, as if she is here with us. Pretty weird. Anyway, most people missed the metaphor that "Secretary" was implying about relationships and love. If you get it, and not take the film so literal, the topic is actually quite beautiful. She was ripped off by not being nominated(should have won, in fact) for an Oscar, but Renee Zellwegger(the best nominee that year) lost to Nicole Kidman anyway(??????).
