O.K.--Like the rest of you, I believe that Ms.Chenoweth has a gorgeous voice, but why are you all writing to her if she is an extremely busy woman and will never get back to you, let alone come to this web site? I was just browsing the internet because I´m bored, and this was on the 39th page! I´m not pestimistic, I´m just telling you the facts. So...music. How many of you are planning on or are in the music field? Until the seventh grade in a talent show competition where I sang "Wouldn´t It Be Loverly" from ´My Fair Lady´, I did not realize how much I loved the stage. I had always been shy. After I performed, though, people told me that it was strange the way I was up there--I was a totally different person. No one could believe it. I just shined. Now, I knew I loved singing. Seriously, get this. My mom is a professional voice and piano teacher, and so we often listened to music. One of the things that I constantly watched was the PBS tape of Les Miserables. Well, I began singing opera to Les Mis and Sarah Brightman at age five. When I was in kindergarden, I loved Les Mis so much that I wanted a Les Mis birthday party. My parents said, "I don´t think they make Les Mis party supplies." I replied with, "That´s okay. We can have black and white plates and napkins and get everyone shirts with the little girl on it." My parents finally influenced me to having a Minnie Mouse party instead. In first grade, the thing I wanted to bring for show and tell was the Les Mis tape! Do you all know how depressing Les Mis is (and completely not for first graders)? As you can see, that´s only part of my love for music. Last year as an eighth grader, I was accepted into the prestigious Interlochen Arts Camp for their Musical Theatre program. But this year is even more amazing. I am going to Interlochen again for their hardest to get into Advanced Vocal Arts Institute (hundreds audition, only thirty make it, and this is for up to the summer of your senior year in high school, and I made it at 14!), won a concerto competition for high school division and sang my songs, Domine Deus from Vivaldi´s Gloria, Pie Jesu from Faure´s Requiem, and the Alleluia from Mozart´s Exultate Jubilate with the symphony orchestra, was invited to work with Peter Sklar, Broadway producer and director with Ms.Chenoweth as one of his past protegees (along with the lead in ´Hairspray´, Zachary Ty Brian from Home Improvement, Sarah Jessica Parker from Sex and the City, Reese Witherspoon from Legally Blonde, and many more you would recognize), this summer in New York and perform off-Broadway, was the first place winner at my state´s vocal competition (you have to be chosen to attend the state), where sadly, state is as far as you can go, was invited to sing with the symphony orchestra again with "The Sun Whose Rays Are All Ablaze" from ´The Mikado´, won many scholarships from all around (up to $500 for singing!), competed in local Star Search with "I Could Have Danced All Night" from ´My Fair Lady´, along with a duet for "What Is This Feeling" with my playing Glinda, played the part of the Minstrel in the musical, "Once Upon A Mattress", sang as a guest singer at the Relay for Life (walk for cancer patients) twice, beat out 18 year olds at the age of 13 for the conservatory scholarship, along with the Marlee Sabo German Singing Scholarship, was asked to join the Skylight and Florentine Operas when I´d just turned 14. This is only the beginning of my resume. Someday I hope to take the stage on Broadway with a debut like Wicked in the part of Glinda. My dream is to become a opera/musical theatre singer, and I don´t care that by doing so I´ll be as poor as a church mouse. So if there is anybody with an audition I could try, PLEASE TELL ME ON THIS SITE!!! This is my dream, and I will become a singer, and hopefully be as successful as Ms.Chenoweth. Thank you all very much.
