Anderson Hays Cooper (b. June 3, 1967) is a New York-based television journalist. Since 2003, he has anchored Anderson Cooper 360°, a fast-paced weeknight news program on the CNN television network.
Cooper, the son of Gloria Vanderbilt and Wyatt Cooper, graduated from Yale in 1989 with a degree in political science. Prior to joining CNN, Cooper was a correspondent for ABC News. He also hosted ABC's reality show The Mole and has co-anchored ABC World News Now. He was an early contributor to the Channel One news program broadcast to many schools in the United States.
He lives in New York City with his dogs, Ozzie and Molly. A gay man, Anderson Cooper was previously "out and proud" but is reportedly unable to answer questions about his orientation under his contract with CNN.
Since 2002, he has hosted CNN's New Year's Eve special from Times Square.
In January 2005 he was sent to South Asia to cover the tsunami damage with his producers.(wikipedia)

Anderson was in Mississippi (he says Mis-sippy!) on that day when he told off Senator Landrieu. That day also happened to be his father´s birthday, so being in his dad´s home state and seeing all of the devastation there must have sent him over the edge. I love the fact that he´s got the down home Cooper roots as well as the upscale New York Vanderbilt connection.

Anderson Cooper needs to come to Mississippi where his paternal roots are. Great reporter; gorgeous hunk, but needs to be reminded of the gentleman his daddy was...........good looks and all!
